I've already started my trip report for our upcoming trip to Fort Wilderness!

Lord willing, in 65 days we will be ...

Overnighting at the Flying J in St. Augustine, FL, eagerly awaiting our return to Fort Wilderness in the morning! On this trip our youngest son, his dear wife, and four grandchildren will be joining us. What an adventure! It will have been a year since we've been to the fort. Not by our choice. We had planned to return in January 2013, but my father had a fall and ended up in the hospital, followed by PT in a local rehab facility. Unfortunately he didn't make it. He passed away on March 1 of this year at the age of 90. Yes, he lived a long, full life. Yes, he lived 8.5 years past what his doctors predicted. No, it still wasn't long enough for me. I was a Daddy's girl. I wish he could have outlived me. I will miss him every day of my life. He wasn't faultless, but he was perfect in my eyes. I love you and miss you, Dad!

I just got a new camera ... a Nikon D7100 with an 18-300 zoom lens. Hopefully I'll take amazing pics with it!

I've been away from this blog far too long! In 19 days we leave for another trip to Fort Wilderness.
