Our Country Coach Intrigue

We have been RV'ers for 20 years. We used to have an Airstream travel trailer, towed by an F-350 dually with our golf cart in the bed.

The kids grew up, moved away, and we started thinking about a motorhome when we took early retirement in 2003. After a lengthy search, we picked up our new to us Country Coach Intrigue on June 1, 2006. Wow! Travel is so much better in a motorhome!

We've not been able to travel as much as we'd like because of my father's health problems. But so far we've been to Port St. Lucie, Florida, three times, and also to Hilton Head, SC, Myrtle Beach, SC, and two trips to Fort Wilderness. We often travel with my Miata and the golf cart on the Featherlite trailer.

Want to see some more photos? Our MH isn't as glitzy and glamorous as some of the newer ones, but we like it just as it is. Plus we don't have as many "gizmos" to worry about breaking down.

Come on in!

We have two slides - one in the living room/ kitchen area and another in the bedroom. They make a huge difference in the living space.

Everyone is always curious about bathrooms in RVs, so here it is! It's a split bath with the shower on the other side of the hallway. Sliding doors close the area off in the front and the back.

And of course the bedroom area ...

All the artwork is original -- some done by me and others by professionals. I've had a great time decorating the motorhome, which we've nicknamed "Dolly." Twice a year I work at the High Point Furniture Market, a trade show for the home furnishings industry. Many of the items in Dolly are market finds.

The long winter is almost over, and we look forward to getting back on the road again! Yesterday we discovered a great campground about an hour away from home. Our daughter and her family just purchased a new TT, and this park is about halfway between us. We hope to spend many long weekends there together.
